Pool side at Alma de Sedona is one of the best spots in town to watch our incredible Arizona sunsets. State law restricts us from providing wine or beer, but feel free to bring your own, we have glasses, openers etc.
Mornings start with custom brewed coffees or tea. Always available are juices and warm from the oven muffins or scones. The main course at breakfast varies daily, tempting your taste buds with gourmet delights and generous portions. FAVORITE RECIPES
PUMPKIN PANCAKES
10 cups Krustez
or any pancake mix
1 - 29oz can of Pumpkin Pie filling
7.5 cups milk
1 tbsp Pumpkin Spice
1 tbsp Vanilla
Honey/Ginger Butter:
1# softened butter
3/4-1 cup honey
1 tbsp Ginger
Mix milk with Pumpkin Pie filling and vanilla. Mix the Pumpkin Pie spices with the dry pancake mix. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry and mix thoroughly. Ladle onto flat skillet. Top with powdered sugar, frozen Honey/Ginger butter florettes and maple syrup.
Makes 3-4 inch pancakes for 24 people. Adjust proportionately for smaller quantities.
Crab Spread
with Endive
8 oz cream cheese,
softened
3 tbsp green onions, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp white wine Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 lb. of imitation crab meat, chopped
Mix all ingredients well with a spoon. Do not use processor. Serve with crackers or put into Endive lettuce leaves.
Pear Cranberry
Muffins
4 cups
flour
1-1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs, beaten
1-1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3 pears peeled, then shredded
1 cup cran-raisins
In a bowl, stir together the dry ingredients. Peel and shred pears and add to the dry ingredients along with the cran-raisins. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil and milk. Stir the liquid ingredients into the dry until the flour is just moistened. Spoon into oiled and floured muffin tins. Bake at 375 for 30 - 35 minutes until golden. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
