Mark your calendars for September 28-29 for a weekend filled with the best Arizona wines, scenic red rock views, arts, and live music, and hors d'oeuvres galore. It’s the Sedona Wine Fest! This annual event held at the famed Posse Grounds Park is a fall tradition celebrating the flourishing Arizona wineries. Taste wines from the local and iconic Verde Valley while sampling perfectly paired appetizers and enjoying the several mini-events happening inside the festival. Take a wine-education seminar, participate in the Plein Air Paint Out, or indulge with a massage in the vineyard. There is almost too much to taste and see, so we’ve created our ultimate guide to the Sedona Wine Fest.

Getting Around:

Posse Grounds Park is located in central Sedona and is very convenient. You can drive and park directly at the event or contact Sedona Quick Rides for a ride to and from the event. Designated drivers are encouraged and are offered free admission to the event!

Tickets:

Tickets can be bought in advance or at the door and include 6 wine tasting tickets and a commemorative wine glass to add to your collection! Early bird tickets cost $35 for each day, or you can buy a multi-day ticket for $50! If you forget to purchase your early bird tickets before September 22nd, don’t fret, tickets will be sold at the door for $40 per day.

Plein Air Paint-Out:

Wander around the festival on Saturday to witness the Plein Air paint-out, an event where artists paint the beautiful Sedona red rocks, the festival, or possibly even you! The paintings will develop from 1-3pm and you can watch the pictures unfold before your very eyes!

Dining:

There will be several local vendors serving up the unique Sedona cuisine you know and love. Sample small bites from each vendor and get a mini food tour of high desert cuisine to pair with your award-winning high desert wines!

Wine Education Seminars:

Learn from your favorite winemakers as they educate you on the process and love that goes into each bottle of wine. This event is perfect for the aspiring wine connoisseur and will guide you through what makes Arizona wines so impeccable.

Artisan Vendors:

Pick up a bottle, or a case, of your favorite wines to bring home and enjoy with your closest friends and family. Tour the grounds and meander through the vendors offering beautifully crafted wine accessories and collectibles perfect for the wine enthusiast. You’ll find intricate bottle holders, wine barrel tables, and charming art stands with pieces made from all steps of the winemaking process.

The Naughty Bits:

On Sunday, The Naughty Bits will be playing all your favorite hits while you enjoy the festival. This glam-rock/funk band loves to play high energy songs from Rock n’ Roll to smooth Funk, and 80s New Wave. You’ll find yourself toe-tapping and singing along in no time.

Accommodations:

Located in the center of town, accommodations are never too far. The Alma de Sedona Inn is just minutes away from the event and is the perfect location to relax after a great day of wine tastings. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine from the festival and enjoy by the pool for the best sunset in Sedona, and awaken to a delicious 2-course breakfast the next morning.

The Sedona Wine Festival is the perfect autumn weekend getaway. Enjoy award-winning wines from all corners of the state, learn about the fascinating process, and marvel at the natural beauty surrounding this wonderful area.
